::BusssssssssssssY::

Have been busy lately.. plus the stress at work.. and worse part, when we came back from Malacca last weekend, our landlady told us that we have to move out by end of June as she's sold her place to her relative. Sigh.. another headache for us to find a place...

Anyway, we were away over the weekend in KL to attend YP's wedding. We flew to and fro because of time constraint as Jason is having his week of exams this week. Hehehe. Thank God for budget airlines, we managed to fly to KL with Jetstar, and come back by Tiger Airways. And it was out first time traveling through the budget terminals for both sides. So, practically we have covered the main 3 budget airlines, AirAsia, Jetstar, Tiger.

We had a good and relaxing time in KL. Most of the time, we were EATING. Yes. The wedding lunch was pretty good, though it was held in the hotel (The Saujana). Food was different, and good. Then, we went for a 2-hr massage at Zouk Spa at Jaya-One. It was good. A much needed massage. Chose the Indon massage. I think it's a combi of Javanese & Balinese massage. Then we went to a Thai restaurant. Supposed to be a light dinner, but it wasn't. Hehehe.

Next day, after church, went to Chilli's! Yay! Ate till our tummies bloated. Then shopped at RSH, sales, bought a Jansport bag at 70% off! Pretty happy with it. Hehehe. Then, went home awhile to rest and pack our bags. Went to PappaRich for dinner. Food is much better than OldTown, but the guys said the coffee still can't beat OldTown (of course la! OldTown has their own brand of coffee some more). Then we left for LCCT. Didn't know it's soooo freaking far. Prolly abt 20mins away from KLIA and going at 100kph that is! We had this mindset that LCCT has no shops, nothing at all. But wow, was pretty impressed that they do have restaurants and those "duty-free" shops. And, another different thing is that we have to walk to the airplanes. The last time we walked up to the airplane was when were in Chiangmai Airport, 6 years ago. :)

We reached Changi Budget Terminal 20 mins to midnight, and managed to escape the surcharge of the cab fares. :)

Thank God, today is still a holiday for us. :) Have a good week, everyone!

Our Bali Adventures 2009

It's our second time back in Bali.. this time it's not just the two of us.. but seven to nine of us! All thanks to Andry, we managed to get good and cheap accommodation... not to mention.. BIG one too.. :) The main highlights of this trip was, the activities.... Jason & I said that the next time round if we ever go back to Bali, is that we want to experience the white water river rafting... and Andry suggested para-sailing last minute as well. So, I'm pretty satisfied we did these 2 while were in Bali. The rest, was bonus. :)

the living hall... the sofa can be turned into a bed at night...where at least 2 guys slept...

the kitchen... can cook here, gas stove, frying pan, cups, plates, utensils all provided...

the master-room where 3 guys slept...

the 2nd room where Yibs & I slept...

Para-Sailing @ Tg. Benoa Beach

I volunteered to be the 1st among us to go. Check out the red & blue gloves. It's to tell you which one you need to pull the ropes to make you "stop" and slowly "drop" down.

Strapping me up, ready to go...OK, I kinda admit I was abit nervous at this point of time.. hahaha..

About to land.. can you see I'm trying so hard to pull the rope to make it land at the correct spot? At this point of time, I didn't want to stop.. I wanted to go another round.. the view from up there was just to spectacular that I had no time to "swallow" everything in just yet.... But, all good things must come to an end.. *sob sob*

Visit to Tanah Lot

Yibs & I entertaining ourselves at the small bazaar before reaching the Tanah Lot entrance.. Pretty hats, ya?

A group pic at Tanah Lot

White Water River Rafting (Payung Adv)

Yibs & I at the river, getting ready for action! We got a special price for this rafting, not as advertised at their website.. Thanks to Andry.. :)

We had chocolate bath after the massage.. My skin was extremely soft and smooth...we had green tea scrubs.. :)

At the famous Kuta beach... once again, after 1.5 yrs..:)

Re-visiting after 1.5 yrs.. just that we're not staying here.. :P

FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD!

1st meal upon arrival, Ayam Betutu

The chili was stinging! But it was superb!

NASI PECEL

This is mine.. hmm... super-cheap right? It's just about S$1.30! So much of food! I don't mind eating this for economy rice everyday... tastes good!

Suckling pig, or famously known as "Babi Guling"

You get to eat every part of the pig. The ears, the TONGUE (see the rolled one?) the skin, the meat, so on.. Gross, but the fried skin actually tastes good. Hahaha. Like "keropok".

"Bebek" is duck in Indon language. Don't ask me why it's called dirty duck.. More famously known as "Bebek Bengil".

The Bebek Bengil dish.. can be served with fries or rice.. :)

The food spread at Bebek Bengil; Bebek Bengil x3, Nasi goreng (thumbs up for this!) x2, Nasi campur (nice!) x2, Gado-gado x1, assorted drinks (mixed fruit juices, ice blended).. yummy!

Last but not least, we bought lots of indo-mee for supper @ the hotel. Hehehe.

So, this ends the whole trip we had in Bali.. it was a goooooooooood and long-awaited trip...
Thank God for AirAsia too that they just recently opened their new route from Spore direct to Bali.... Awaiting for the next trip..... have to look at budget airlines promo.. I know some of them from the group will be going to climb Mt. KK in June, and some having a road-trip to Australia.. All thanks to budget airlines... Hehehe... Shall we start planning for next year? *wink*.

Of the sun, beach, spa & 4 ladies..

Yes, this is our first outing after all these years....overnight trip that is...
And I'm so glad I made it back even though I was pretty tired of all the traveling over the C'mas & CNY weeks. It was really fun, and I enjoyed myself very much... And plus, I love the place! It was such a relaxed trip for all of us.. taking a short break from our busy and hectic scheduled lives and most of all, spending time with great company of friends. Of the four of us, one is in Algeria (comes back 1x/qtr), two in KL (of which, one is leaving for Australia for work for 3 years... she's leaving in March.. All the best to you, Yiin!).. and me, in Spore. It's rather rare that we can get together at the same time.. hehehe.. So here... enjoy the pics... btw, the massage was very good.. though it's a lil bit ex.. :)

Can't wait for the next trip, gals!

More pics on my Facebook :)

Three days to Christmas...

I actually can't believe that it's just 3 more days to Christmas... pretty fast huh? I'm so looking forward to going home this time. Last year we spent Christmas here.. and my family came over... this year, would be the other way round, since there's a loooooooonnngggg shutdown this time around. We'll be up in Ipoh (Maxwell Hill) for a night, then followed by Penang (2 nights).. yup.. family trip.. mum, dad, bro, myself, and my uncle & his family. This is perhaps a very rare moment that the four of us in the family get to go on a holiday together. Hehehe.

It's gonna be a hectic schedule for both of us. It goes something like this:

24th Night - Both back in Malacca

25th - Both in Malacca

26th - Me leaving for Ipoh/Pg; He leaving for Segamat (friend's wedding)

29th - Me back in Malacca; He not sure will be in KL?

30th - 31st - Me in Malacca; He maybe in Malacca

1st - Both up in KL (friend's wedding)

3rd - Me back in Malacca (friend's wedding); He in Penang (friend's wedding)

4th - Both back in Malacca, and going back to Spore.

Hahaha.. it's a crazy week of weddings! We have to take turns to go for different weddings.. imagine that! That also I have to turn down another friend's wedding on 27th... Oklah.. till then... no mood to work.. sigh....
Btw, have you draw up your Christmas list? Hehehe....

X.T.R.A.O.R.D.I.N.A.R.Y.!

Yes! I was really glad that I went for the camp. Was so looking forward for a holiday.. what more with the rising stress I was getting from work..(yes, I know it's only been a month since I started on my new job :P .. but I started off without any break in between from the previous one)...

It's been 5 years since I'm setting foot back to the "Land of Smiles".. It is indeed a land of smiles.. everyone here seems to be smiling at you.. and really.. I'm amazed at Thais.. they're so soft-spoken and I like the way they communicate.. gentle and polite.. unlike some people I know.. hahaha.. The last time back in 2003, I was in ChiangMai, for our uni CF's missions trip. It is also another place which is really nice.. and not to mention "cheap" stuffs......

Our flight was at 10:55 hrs.. but we were there abt a quarter after 8am.. I thought there will be jam, so we left earlier, as we thought to have breakfast and all that first.. end up, being so early.. and hubs was making noise at me for waking up so early.. hahahaa... All the same, I couldn't sleep the night before.. too excited!

We got into the plane.. had another 3 hrs bus ride to Cha-Am, finally arrived... Phew.. We were so happy with our room.. it was really like a honeymoon suite for us.. with the view.. the bathroom.. coolness...oklah.. perhaps this will be our 2nd anniversary trip since Jason's starting classes this week.. hehehe...

The camp was great.. speaker really got us on our toes and challenged our faith and spirit... got Umpph! I pray that this fire will not only be burning for now and then die off later.. but there will be that oil in each of us to keep the fire burning consistently!

It was really a relaxing time for me.. though.. tiring... I woke up early.. not sure why though.. but I woke up earlier than the alarm time.. And it's usually like 6 something.. I take the opportunity to take a cool morning swim as I know, most of the time, in the evenings, the pool will be occupied either by lots of people or by the games.. So first morning, I did like 7 laps.. 2nd morning.. I did 10 laps (after all the heavy eating)... and on the last day.. I did 6 laps only because was rushing for time to pack and check out...I felt good the whole week.. seriously.. Mel went for her jog.. And I'm sure she felt good that few days too.. hahaha..

One thing I missed most is the mango sticky rice.. Hehehe.. Durian was too sweet.. I still love the Segamat durians.. it has its own authentic taste... And yes.. I just can't get enough of shopping in Bangkok.. Too short a time.. Both of us kinda regretted not extending at least 2 more nights.. Sigh.. I have 1440 bahts left.. Anyway, perhaps will go another time soon.. this time with a colleague who practically goes to Bangkok every year!.. like a shopping "pilgrimage" I call it.. Hahaha...

Anyway, one thing's in my heart for sure is the prompting (something like a confirmation during the camp.....pray,pray,pray)..to go for the missions trip at the end of this year to Cambodia.. We're hoping to go together as a cell...So I guess I'm setting apart my leaves and $ for the trip.. Quite itchy actually to go to Australia with parents (if it ever materialize) or Bangkok again.. :P

More pics on my Multiply.

Yes!!! My holidays are finally coming nearer... really looking forward to it ever since I signed up for the camp... Pictures above is the place that we'll be staying during the camp... Holiday Inn Regent Beach Cha-Am, Thailand. After a long and stressful week... seriously need the time to relax myself physically and just soak in His presence... :) Yes.. about 1000 of us signed up for the camp.. and Amazingly, their ballroom can fit max. of 1500 people. Coolness!

I already have a few orders of the crackers (tahi anjing - dog poo) to be brought back. Kekeke. And also, colleagues have been telling me that brassieres there are very cheap and of good quality (Wacoal)...So ok.. all these I shall note.. hehehe...

Cha-Am is about 3 hours drive from Bangkok. After the camp, we're extending a night in Bangkok for shopping and sight-seeing.. yes.. you bet.. shopping! Hehehehe.....

Yes.. it was really a stressful week with conference call everyday as we have issues now... Today was so far the worst.. We got it left, right, up, and down from the customer from this issue (not to me indirectly because I'm still new.. but the rest of my colleagues did..) and even escalated this to my plant manager. *phew*.... But before I left, boss called both my colleague and I.... I thought it's something to do with my program.. But it was not.. he just asked us if we wanted to participate in an evaluation test for mobile phones... Sony Ericsson... Our factory in Beijing is building the mobile phones and this model is set to come down to Spore soon.. So they're asking us to do an eval for one week on its application since we're in QA. I was like.. WOW! COOL! Anytime man.. We even have to get a new SIM card to get the 2 different networks... Can't wait till I come back from Thailand on Friday.. hehehehe... But of course, after the eval, we have to give back the phones :( hopefully we can keep them.. :P

Boss dropped me off at the MRT station as I had to meet with LMF & HM for dinner at Shokudo, Raffles City.. (Yups, again, and I just love the udon! The spicy soup is just superb!). He just told me not to worry about work and go and enjoy my holidays and also church camp. Praise the Lord for an understanding boss.. it's a bonus for me.. :)

So, won't be blogging for a week.. till then.. have a nice day everyone and Trinitarians... see you guys in Thailand! WooHoo!
