Third Day
Yups. Today was my third day at work. As some of you might not know, I'm no longer in AMD, but switched to Flextronics Tech @ Changi South Lane. I'm a QA engineer/SQE. It means, I deal with one customer, but with many suppliers pertaining to that one customer's product.
So, I guess, it would be hectic for me. QA process here is rather minimal compared to what I did in Damonqi. But still, to put something in order isn't something that is easy. Hehehe.
Anyway, environment is good! I can get to MSN in the office. This is mainly because they do not have Microsoft Communicator, so they use MSN. And, plus, my cubicle is one of the biggest I've ever gotten in my experiences in the other two company. It's like almost 3 times the length of the one in AMD, in L-shape. I shall take the pic when I have the time. :D I have lots of s-p-a-c-e.
My boss, is friendly, and so are a handful of my colleagues. As most of the time they are rather busy and hardly at their desk, I don't get a chance to really talk to them. However, have been rather close to two of them, and we usually go out for lunch with boss (driver). And yes, lunch time is so different for me this time because I finally get to eat different stuffs everyday unlike eating at the canteen or the 2 or 3 places when I was in AMD. Partly because we have a very nice boss who is willing to chauffeur us around everyday. And yeah, did I mention that he is also a Christian, and three of my colleagues are too.
Another thing is that, we don't have to scan in for attendance, and no more x-ray checking when we go in or out. And the pantry is bigger than my master bedroom now in Spore. And they have microwave, rice cooker, boiler, coffee maker and so on. Even a nice dining table set for you to have your meals there.
My boss have been showing me around to the production floor of the various customers' products. Will be starting on a "cleaning" up project of the IQC lab soon.
So, that's about what I'm currently doing, as I know, some of you even thought I was going back to Melaka to work. Hehehe. Anyway, tomorrow is a holiday! Not sure what I'm going to do, but what the heck, it's a holiday! The thought makes me so happy. I didn't have any breaks in between the old company and the new. But I will soon have a week's break (yeah, unpaid leave) on the first week of June for the church camp and also some shopping in Bangkok. Thank God my boss verbally agreed to it already. Woo Hoo! Can't wait. :)
