Girls hang-out
As you all know, Yin,Jess,Yen came down to Spore over the weekend. They reached the bus station at around 6pm, brought them for a quick dinner as they were really hungry. Bus took rather long because there was a massive queue at the customs.
That night, we were at Ting's place, where the girls put up a night. We chatted lots, and then KL came over. And then, Jess' uni-mate came over. Let's call him Mr. Fireman. After all the hassle, she finally managed to reach him (she didn't have his contact number before she came over). And to think the poor guy actually waited for her to have dinner together! :P So we went over to this place called ChompChomp, near Serangoon Gardens (landed property place man), and had supper there. The char-tau-ke (fried carrot-cake) was really good. Some say, even beat Malacca's. After that, KL sent me home.
Next morning, met up with Yin and Jess for brunch, then headed off to Orchard with Jess. The rest had their own agendas. And Jess was in a shopping mood for bags. :) Went over to LV at Taka, but sadly the model she wanted was no more in stock (Can you believe that?). By the way, did I tell you that we had to queue for about 5 mins before we could get in the shop? Too many people so they had to control the crowd. Besides, it was my first visit to the LV boutique. :) We headed on to more places like Coach, Gucci, and finally one bag in Burberry caught her eye. I could say it was pretty nice too. And she bought the matching purse. Lovely!
Tired, we went back after shopping at about 6pm. Then we bathed, and got dress for dinner. Jess was craving for chili crabs, so we made our way to ECP's Jumbo Seafood Restaurant. Dinner was good. And it was a lovely time spent together, the three of us. Yup, Yen ffk us again. We called KL up, and he fetched us from ECP and went off to Clarke Quay as Jess has not been there before. Went to Brewerkz just to try their home-made brew. This is my second time there. After that, we were craving for the fried carrot cake at ChompChomp, so we made our way there, but it was already closed. It was already 12 midnight. So KL brought us to this famous Punggol Nasi Lemak Centre. It was crazy, you had to queue up, and it was such at an odd hour! Wee hours of the morning.
We finally arrived home close to 2.30am. I bunked in for the night. Ting, Yin's sis, woke up nd joined us chatting. Not noticing the time, it was 5.40am when we finally went to bed. Hehehe. The next morning, we woke up close to 9am for a bfast date with Mr. Fireman. He just finished his 24-hr duty at 8am. (Crazy right?!). And he came in his uniform! Kinda cool. Hahaha... You know, this thing about guys in uniform.. hahaha.. Headed over to Parkway for bfast at Yakun. Chatted awhile there, then went back, got ready, packed and he sent us to the bus station. Very sweet of him as we knew he was rather tired.
And so, all that sums up my tiring, but great weekend. Will want to have this kinda gathering soon. I miss having girl-friends around here. Sigh.
Thanks ladies, for coming down... :) Missing u all already :(
