Retrenchment

Today, another round of retrenchment happened at my office. I thank the Lord that so far He has see me through rounds of retrenchment here in both the companies that I've been to and the current one. He not only sees me through.. but can really see His favour upon me. :) I'm blessed, the Lord has been good to me!

However, I can't help feeling sorry for those who had to leave. Though I've only worked with them for awhile, but they were good colleagues. And plus, I couldn't believe that one of them, pregnant 7 months also got retrenched! But the company paid them well I guess... Else, they won't be beaming from ear to ear.. but then again, what comes after the money gotten is able to last them for the few months, perhaps the year? Will they be able to secure a job quick enough? Most have family and mouths to feed.. What next? Especially if you're of a certain age group, it's so difficult to find jobs... In these times, I can only look to Him as our Provider and Giver of our needs.

As I've mentioned over and over again.. God is good! Not only to me, but to Jason as well.. All glory, honour and power to His name! Amen!

2 kay-pohs:

  1. What a pity to those who got retrenched.

God is with you, but I suppose God is not with them. Yea God likes to favour you in keeping your upper middle class life.

  2. Dear passing by,

I believe you're not a passer-by as you know my blog address very well....and I believe you have been following my blog as well..

Anyway, my future is not certain, that is for sure.. (my boss just sent us a depressing email abt our job securities) but I know my future with God is certain. As what my church pastor mentioned in his sermon last weekend, "Rejoice, in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice!". Passage of scripture comes from Phil 4:4-10.

Yes! rejoice in Him, even in this time of crisis (Christ-is). So if you have a problem with Him (in terms of favors), go look for Him... :) In everything that happens, I believe it happens for a reason and at a season.

    God bless you.
