Kasut Manik-Manik *updates*

It's been two weeks since I bought the stuffs for the beaded shoes. And so here are some of the updates and status of my little project.. :)

First I pasted the motive onto the cloth and tighten it against the wooden frame.
Note: Actual wooden frame is supposed to be in rectangular shape. The round one is for embroidery sewing.

Practiced a few beads first as I've forgotten how to do it.. it was 10 years ago since I last made one ok? :D

Tried doing the borders first... but it was a bit crooked and ugly! Yikes! A Nyonya can't have terrible workmanship man... If my grandma was still alive, she'll most prolly nag at me. Anyway practice makes perfect... right?

Went to get a pill box to put my beads in it, else it's so difficult to sew!
Note: You should actually put your beads in a flat saucer so it's easy to pick up the beads with your needle tip.

My progress as of today, 27th Feb 09. I switched from the borders to the patterns. I think doing the pattern first should be easier... then followed by the background. :)
