A House that will be a Home
The song we sang for Len&Liza's wedding is still stuck in my head, thus, the title is part of the song, where it says, "A house that will be a home, a reflection of His face".
This is also what we, Jason & I have that end in mind when we bought the house. Most of you might think, yeah, a home will be when we have kids and yada, yada, yada... But we thought something other than that. Hehehe...
We wanted to open up our house for cell group (every Friday) back then, but didn't have the chance too, as we were already moving to Spore by that time. But am glad, because the house has so far, hosted a CNY gathering (about 20 of us in the house), yum cha sessions with colleagues & friends (before the wedding), BBQ session (house was still pretty empty that time) and people who came to visit Melaka, like Jason's aunt, eRic! (twice? 3 times?), Jason's Sgt friends, family members (for our wedding) our Spore cell group (7 of them!) last month, and just over the weekend, our colleagues who came down for the wedding.
Is it tiring? For me, partly tired, but I felt great/satisfied/blessed as the house gets noisy and homely.. hehehe.. Hoping for more visitors to come.. Oh yeah, we'll be preparing the house for a dear family friend who will be down from Australia for a month's visit.
For those who came, sorry that we didn't have enough time to prepare enough good mattresses, pillowcases, and blankets. Also sorry, if we weren't good hosts. :) Both, Jason & I are truly blessed to have each and everyone of you coming over in our humble home. I think I shall get a guest book next time. Hahaha...
So, anyone coming down/up to Malacca, and need a place to bunk in, do let us know in advance, we'll gladly open our home to you... God bless. :)
