Darling's birthday & Anniversary
Today is my darling's birthday. Blessed birthday, and may God bless you loads, dear. *big hug & kiss*
We had a pre-celebration dinner last night (10-10-07) with seven of our cell group members. Actually the dinner is for both of us since my birthday is five days later. Hehehe. We had it in Fish & Co. at Parkway Parade. Kenneth arranged it all, and it was supposed to be a surprise one, but Jason could smell something was fishy from afar. Hehehe.
As the years go by, and as we get older, personally, for me, I don't really look forward to having celebrations, or parties or anything else. I mean, like the ones we used to have when we're young, and perhaps, our parents invited like one whole kampung (village). Hehehe. People change as they grow, priorities changes too. Hehehe.. And yeah, it was somehow different yesterday, because it was celebrated with people whom you actually share your life with. :) Thanks again to all who were present. :) (I know most of you were very busy with schedules).
The waiters/waitresses at Fish & Co. were cool. It was something like TGIF, where they actually sing for you. But they did it the fast way. And, both of us were given a small fireworks each. Haha. And they had 3 birthdays that night. I guess their throats were sore after that because they really sang so loud. And yes, I love the cake that Kenneth bought from Swensen's. It was a nice ice-cream 3-layered cake. Yummy! And yeah, the candles were great too. Out of so many years, first time we ever had the cake almost fully filled with candles. Thanks, Kenneth, you're the MAN!

And yes, my darling got himself a second wife...... TAA DAA.... A Fina 1215 full acoustic guitar. Okokok.. Since when did he play the guitar? Since uni... I think.. and he has not been playing for 2-3 yrs. He wanted to get a guitar when he came down to Spore. And to confirm this thought, last Sat, he was asked to play for cell. And we were thinking, hmm.. might as well get a guitar. And so, he began searching online for any good deals or shops to get the guitar from. Consulted my brother and all that. Finally, on a forum he found, Davis Guitar Music Centre. So, on Monday (yes, a day before cell) we went to Peninsula Hotel and we found more than 4 guitar shops there. Wow. The retail price was $350. And he bought another set of strings, picks, guitar case (fully padded - $40), and after negotiation (the owner gives about 5% discount to those who quote from that forum or if you're a City Harvest Church member), the amount came to $358. Cool right? God bless the owner. He played "Eidelweiss", and "What a Friend we have in Jesus", and it sounded great. That's why he chose the full acoustic one. I like the color, and the feel. It's not polished/lacquered, but people say it's a must, else it'll be prone to scratches and knocks. Oh boy. If it's polished, then it'll lose it's matte-ness. That was what I liked. Hehehe...

R.O.M. First AnniversaryAnd yeah, today marks our unofficial R.O.M. (Registry of Marriage) 1st year anniversary!!! Ta Daaaa... One year have passed.. yups... so fast huh? How was it?, as most of you have/will ask us. I'd say, it has it's ups and downs.. but what's most important is how we adapt to each other, in our behaviours, characters and habits. Muahaha. I would say, for me it's more of a character building thingy. And also, without God being the centre and foundation of this marriage, we are nothing. :) In the world we live in today, where divorce/broken marriages are so rampant, I think, we really need to put our trust in Him. Remembering what Ps. Sam said to us during our pre-marital counselling, "A three-cord bind is not easily broken". And so, the three-cord represents God, Husband and Wife. Anyway, our actual wedding anniversary is exactly one month from today. :)
