Bogor, Tajur:
Yes! It was a shopping day for us (my aunt was around too, as she was working 5-day week)...and also her first time to Tajur.. It is about an hour away from the city...Tajur, Bogor is famous for their fake branded leather bags & shoes! We went from one shop to another and I was really spoilt for choice..Rambang mata, some would say..shopped till we dropped.. hehehe...
Shopping bags at the back of the car :)
We stopped by a food court in the town.. we had Solo food...and we had this Rawon (sounds Korean eh?) which is actually buah keluak soup with beef & tougeh head. read more- Rawon
It is used in a famous Nyonya dish... read more
It is a very tedious dish to cook though.. I've heard my mum & aunt telling me the procedures to do it.. it's not that easy as it is done for the Rawon....Anyway, it was served hot on the burner.. each of us had one bowl.. it tasted so good!
After lunch, we had another short round of shopping for bags & shoes, which after that, we went back to the hotel for a short rest before adjourning for dinner...
Dinner:
My Aunt brought us to this place called Plaza Indonesia... and from outside it looks small & shaggy... but my my, when we entered, certainly didn't feel at all we were in Indonesia. All the branded goods.. some not even available in Msia.. and most of the fashions.. are the latest.. even Spore is slightly slower than them ( hahah.. I did a comparison in Jakarta-KLCC-Spore)...It's amazing.. anyway, it's too ex for us to shop there.. only ppl like my aunt can afford it.. ahhha.. we were merely window shopping.. we went for dinner to this Chinese restaurant.. authentic Shanghai restaurant.. the chef is a Shanghai-man himself.. :) And the noodles were good.. so were the desserts!I took the Szechuan style noodle.. spicy though...
