A few posts ago, I'll said I'll update about our notebook purchase.
And so, here it goes... Our latest e-baby, Lenovo Y400.
We were at the PC Show (I don't know why they don't call it Fair instead of Show) on 1st June. However, we were there late. We went for dinner with our dear ex-colleague, LMF who so happened to be in Spore that day, so we thought of doing some catching up.
He was one of the first few ones who left Infineon (IC) last 2 yrs ago. In fact, the same department as me :).
We were in Suntec City Mall. The food area was as usual, very packed (everywhere in Spore, it's the same when it comes to food). So we took a big round around the world's famous fountain (very cool watershows)... and landed ourselves in a Korean restaurant... food was good! But still, the kimchi is not as good as the one in East Coast Park.
After that, we wanted to go into the convention hall, but it was late, and they didn't allow people to enter...
And so, we went back the next day, on Sat.
We were there at about 11am. Waited for the doors to be opened at 12pm.
To cut the story short, we finally bought our notebook at about 9pm. :) We were contemplating whether to come the next day as usually they give more freebies on the last day of exhibition. But we changed our mind because there most likely going to be human jam... taking note from most of our friends who "scared" us about it.
And besides, the 10 hours or so we were there, the price of most stuffs dropped about S$100.. so, it was cool....
The packaging
The cover... Love the silver chrome
The whole thingy.. comes with a dedicated graphics card

Love the hidden keypads. It makes it look smooth and sleek

This is called the Lenovo Shuttle. Quick press for volume, and to other medias.

The freebies that came along with it: A webcam :)

An optical mouse

The carrying case of course

Lucky draws which puts you in the grand prize of S$ 10,000. Games are part of the small lucky draw.
Also, we had a free upgrade to 2GB RAM. So, basically that's the end of our PC affair.. hehehhee...
