Also, at the same time, J actually had an offer to go to Taiwan.. 2 months passed, no calls from Spore. And so, we turned our focus towards Taiwan… J made arrangements with the mgr to try get a job for me there. We seeked advises from our parents and relatives, but none gave us the so called green-light… Besides, we went through the package, and it wasn’t an atrractive offer… We couldn’t decide so we just left it as it is…
We waited, and waited… Then suddenly, one day, J got a call from Spore (A head-hunter). It came unexpectedly and actually my heart was already in Taiwan.. :P.
He went through the first round of interview.. and was called again for the 2nd interview I think the week after the 1st interview. After that, we were told that he wasn’t successful after the 2nd interview (technical). We lost hope.
In the end, we gave up and just left things as it is… Prayed, and surrendered everything into His hands and plans. We believed strongly if God really wanted us to be some place, he will open doors for us to be there…
After a month from J’s 2nd interview, I got a call from the same head-hunter, and arranged for an interview 2 days after that. Also in AMD. First thing, I was abit shocked, but tried to calm myself. The job scope isn’t exactly what I wanted.. but hey, it’s a stepping stone into Spore, and of course, I will try to give my best shot at it.
And to cut the story short, I was called up again and told me that they were keen to hire me. Just 3 days after the interview. I was delighted! But J still had no confirmation of an jobs in Spore. A week later, he got a call and said that they finally reviewed again and due to some situation, they’re hiring him.
We really thank God for it.. opening the doors at the RIGHT time..We could really His hand intervening this whole happenings..
After all the arrangments with the company, we finally tendered in our resignation on 9th March 2007, together. Just 2 days right after the official announcement was made in the company abt the shift to Senai, JB.
Praise God.
And that’s how, we came abt and landed ourselves here in this tiny island, called Singapore.
You might also wonder how long we plan to be here? We plan to be here at least for 3 yrs (to finish paying off hse loan), but it might be shorter? Or longer? Or permanent? We really, really, really, don’t know. We really depend on God to lead us… when the time comes.. or rather, in HIS time…..
