Vineyard....

In my Facebook caption I wrote this: " Rachel Lee wants to own and work in a vineyard and live in a village surrounded by vineyards...:P

Why this thought? Check this Korean drama: The Man of the Vineyard

Simple life... very, very, very simple life.. and how good these people are with their hands.. and the way they grow the grapes.. kinda interesting and I don't mind doing things with my own hands. Hehehe. I liked the part where they did up the farm-house into a family house. Nice! Yellow & white is a nice color. sigh.. Can only dream..

And probably if I want to own a vineyard, it has to be in Korea! Yes, Korea. :) Organic grapes. Now I know why they are super ex! (Jason's uncle bought for his grandparents organic grapes which flew in from Japan, and it cost a bomb on just a small box!).

Ahh... I wish to go back to Korea again to visit the country-side.. :)

Finally.... Finished

Finally, have finished watching the 70-episode, heart-wrenching Korean drama, Dae Jang-Geum (Jewel in the Palace). Oh no, don't get me wrong, this is not exactly a love drama, but rather cooking and a show of talented person. And if I'm not mistaken, this is based on a real story in Korea.

And what's interesting is on the food part, being offered to the king. You can see all kinds of herbs and food mixtures used. And there's so many traditional ways of cooking, cleaning, storing and so on. This can actually whet your appetite. Hehehe. From a palace girl, she was thrown out of the palace due to some frame ups. Due to her determination, she went back to the palace as a junior female doctor. And there, she was being favored by the king, and became the personal doctor to the king, which was a taboo as a female doctor can only serve the ladies in the palace. She almost became the king's concubine, but soon found out that she loves the deputy administrator of the king.

All in all, it's a happy ending for her. The both lived happily, even got a daughter, who was just like her when she was little. But she had to go through a lot of sorrows just to get where she was at the end.

It's a good watch, and those of you who want to watch, can borrow it from me. I have the original dvds. :)

Jewel In the Palace (Dae Jang Geum)

I am currently watching this 70-episode series of Jewel In The Palace (Dae Jang Geum). It is an old drama series, so am taking my time to watch it..... also with Jason. He finds this funny and interesting, not the usual love and romance Korean drama series...

We bought the original DVDs here, and there are altogether 14 DVDS. Each, has about 5 episodes.

Currently watching the 24th episode...(surprisingly he has sat with me throughout the 24th episode. He is also getting addicted to it. ahaha..)

The reason why I wanted to watch this was because we went to visit their actual shooting site while on honeymoon in Korea... After watching all these, makes me wanna go back there, to experience spring time there.. perhaps, during our 10th year anniversary. :P (dream on, Rachel)...

Let's go to school, Sang Doo

Was literally dragging my feet to work today. And all this is because I slept late last night.
Yes, I've just finished watching this Korean drama series. Very kesian. (very pitiful).
It stars Rain, the famous Korean actor-singer.
I shall not talk about here just in case some of you might wanna watch it.
I've just lent the whole set to Liza, whom I guess will be watching it tonight?
heheheheh.. it's addictive... really... addictive...
Will be sleeping early tonight...
