Mooncakes Galore!

It's that season again!!.. And this time, I had a chance to actually make them, thanks to a dear colleague of mine who knows of a friend who was doing it. So we both took a bus all the way down to Toa Payoh on a fine Sunday mid morning. Reached there at about 12pm. Took a quick lunch and started working. So here goes...
Basically you need to knead the paste till it becomes shiny. Hehe. Add in walnuts or whatever nuts you would like and knead again. (This was the part I really sweat! It's really like working out your arms!). Next, you need to weigh the portion of the skin and the paste and the egg (if you have any). This is so that the skin would not be too thick. Wrap up the paste with the skin, and then put it in the mold. Press it down for about 3 times, then slowly take it out. Once done, bake it. Don't ask me how long is needed. Hahaha. We also made snowskin ones, but no pictures because hands were dirty and sticky. Didn't have the chance to take... But my colleagues and cell members said that the green tea ones were the best.. :) Hoping to make more next year to give to more friends....:) Till then, happy moon cake festival everyone...
