Crystal Jade
Last Sunday, my aunt (tua kor - my dad's eldest sister) invited us over for lunch in Crystal Jade Restaurant in The Paragon, Orchard Road.
We thought what was the occasion.. It was actually an advanced birthday lunch for my cousin, SA.
She's currently doing her internship as a house-man currently in Spore. (in various hospitals).
So, there we were, we woke up early in the morning to go to Trinity Christian Centre (the church we're currently attending) for their 8.30am service.
It ended about 10.30am, so we went back and I did some mopping and sweeping of the floor.
About 12pm, we left the house and went to the bus stop.
We waited and took the bus which directly stops opposite the Orchard Road MRT station.
It took us about an hour in the bus to reach there. (Imagine! So we slept the whole way through)
But coming back, we took the MRT, which was about a few minutes (20 mins) including the interchange.
The restaurant looked posh, elegant. It had dark-colored theme. Blacks, Browns, earth colors.
Nice. The ceiling was filled with small crystal lights, and it looked like little chandeliors all around. Cool. And the food was good! Not only the presentation of the food is good, but it really tastes good!
But what caught our attention was when the waitresses served us our appetisers. The old cucumber soup.

The old cucumber soup. About a size of a small mineral water bottle, and it had lots of stuffs inside. To get the flesh, just scrape the sides of the cucumber. It's so nice and soft!
The duck's skin in popiah skin. Superb! (I never liked duck, but this is real good)
The different kinds of sauces available
