R.S.V.P.
Yeah, another busy day today. Getting the final guestlist ready today... so many still have not confirmed :( (If you're one of them, please confirm by this week!!!).
If people do not R.S.V.P. (Most M'sian's do..as usual)...
1) It is very inconvenient for the host to estimate the number of people, (hotels/ restaurants incur costs; any cancellations of table bookings prior to the reception will still be charged :[ )
2) Leads to wastage of $$$, Food, places
3) Very difficult to do table arrangements!
4) Stress for the hosts! (Or is it only me?)
So to those out there who have received many invitations (not only mine), do make it a point to be more courteous by R.S.V.P.ing the host :)
Let's look at a little insight on what's R.S.V.P?
The term R.S.V.P. comes from the French expression "répondez s'il vous plaît", meaning "please respond". If R.S.V.P. is written on an invitation it means the invited guest must tell the host whether or not they plan to attend the party. It does not mean to respond only if you're coming, and it does not mean respond only if you're not coming (the expression "regrets only" is reserved for that instance). It means the host needs a definite head count for the planned event, and needs it by the date specified on the invitation.
